Help Cleanup the BP Oil Spill
In response to what may become a catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, 100% of the profits from sales of the prints on this page will be donated to various organizations who are on the front lines helping to clean oiled birds and wildlife. The goal for this project is $1,500 and the organizations that I've chosen to donate the proceeds to are: National Audubon Society, International Bird Rescue Research Center and Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research.
While BP is responsible for covering all the costs of cleanup and habitat restoration, any type of donation can help these organizations and the birds in danger. The ever growing oil slick has already reached sensitive coastal areas from Louisiana to Florida. The leak began on April 20, 2010 and BP hasn't been able to put a stop to it. It will likely continue to spew oil into the ocean until August 2010. Please consider purchasing a print to support the organizations helping to protect the wildlife in the affected areas.
